Acceptable condition. Previous owner’s inscription, Miss Jessica Lewis 197 Summer Street; and nameplate, Robert Lewis Coope. Fading, bumping, scuffs, fraying, soiling, and shelf-wear to cover, especially corners. Significant fading to spine, which has possibly been pasted. Blue ink or watercolor paint stain on back cover. Light, scattered foxing and thumb marks. Water damage not reaching text on top edge of pages 47-59, including one plate. Slight tanning and a few very small tears not reaching text or illustrations. Tight binding. Color plates present and bright, with some damage to the frontispiece. No writing, scribbling, coloring, or doodling.
