Ultra rare early Disney enthusiast collectible. A cardboard cinema ceiling hanger for the promotion of the release of the 1941 Disney live-action/animation anthology The Reluctant Dragon, whose stars include Walt Disney himself. Directed by Alfred L. Werker, the movie includes four featurettes from the first four years of Disney’s film-making history. In it, our reluctant dragon is a “Punk Poet” who prefers rhapsody to bloodlust; “I promise not to rant or roar / and scourge the countryside anymore!” Endearing playfulness ensues with this heartwarming and sweetly animated out-of-the-box character. Beautiful condition with some small imperfections, as shown. Please examine the photos and video carefully to observe some minor creases, marks on the reverse, a fold on dragon’s left foot, a bend on his right ear.
