Lord of the Rings Five-Book Folio Society Collection

Embark on a literary adventure with this exquisite collection of J.R.R. Tolkien’s masterpieces, presented in matching Folio Society editions housed in publisher’s slipcases. Immerse yourself in the epic saga of Middle-Earth with The Lord of the Rings Trilogy — The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers, and The Return of the King — beautifully bound and lavishly illustrated with maps and thoughtful symbology. Accompanying this box set is The Hobbit, a beloved prelude that has captivated readers for generations. Completing the set is The Silmarillion Tolkien’s magnum opus of Middle-Earth’s ancient mythology.

Presented by Folio Society (Geroge Allen & Unwin) in a format that honors the narrative depth of these epics. These volumes are 2000’s reprints of the first Folio Society editions (1970’s) and are printed on acid-free, high-quality Caxton Wove paper and bound in full-vegetable parchment at the Bath Press in Great Britain.

Slipcases are burgundy with gilt lettering and runes. Trilogy volumes are emerald green and blocked with vivid primary color illustration motifs and gilt dot and swirl decoration design by Francis Mosley. The Hobbit (in ruby red) and The Silmarillion (sapphire blue) are similarly decorated.

Excellent vintage condition with minor shelf wear to slipcases. Books are in unread condition with only slight shelf wear. Displays very handsomely and would make an excellent collector’s gift. A fantastic opportunity to own this desirable vintage set.
